If we think that women suffer sex discrimination in the workplace then gendered names are being used here as a proxy for sex (its not a perfect measure, but its close enough). There is no evidence that identifying as non-binary means people escape sex discriminationpic.twitter.com/EHxI9acQqo

What Giselle Donnelly (Thomas during a 45 year career) earns @AEI tells us nothing about the situation for female staff there. If we are interested in equality for women, it is sex rather than pronouns which ultimately matter.
