We do not have gender self id in this country so in my view single sex spaces are properly limited to cis women and trans women with a GRC. But in either case shouldn't women using communal changing, sauna, spa etc... be allowed to without encountering males . No physical changes are required for a GRC. I don't think it is an access-all areas pass, it is about protecting a trans person's privacy in everyday life

The EqA specifically allows for exemption from gender reassignment discrimination in the the case of single sex services. For example a cervical smear test clinic is for women (= females). GRC makes not difference. Similarly a place where women expect bodily privacy from males
