Well, I happen to know transmen and plenty of nonbinary folks who have to use sanitary products for menstruation, so this doesn't make sense to me. Why are people upset about something that doesn't negatively affect them? So, it doesn't make sense to me that ppl are so het up.
The
symbols refer to sex not gender identity. is already inclusive of all females, including transmen & those identify as non binary - because these people's sex is female (hence why they menstruate). Why does inclusion require we lose the words & symbols for the sexes?
It's scientifically inaccurate to reduce people down to two sexes. Intersex and a variety in between also exist. Maybe inclusion should expand to include what we know to be scientifically accurate - not only are there more than 2 genders, there are far more than 2 sexes, as well.
