It’s fair that anyone can identify as what ever gender/none gender they wish, but not compete with others as if it is an equal playing field. It simply isn’t and that has nothing to do with societal bias or prejudice.

This is the logical conclusion of recognizing ppl’s subjective identities in law. If we have to say a male is a woman, what possible recourse is there when that “woman” wants to do the things reserved for women?

Another option is to acknowledge that most men’s categories are actually open categories. They don’t have to give up their fictional identities in order to compete with their sex.

Indeed. Both categories are for people of any gender identity. The women's category is for females, and in most sports the other category is 'Open' . Transwomen should be welcome to compete in the male category
