Objectively, I don't think anything I said had an offensive meaning, but of course I cannot be absolutely sure of that. I hope others are not upset, but it is a fraught and difficult topic.

Context is objective too. The meaning of words is an objective matter determined by context. It isn't a matter of dictionary definitions, or of what is subjectively intended. Of course all disagreement can cause upset. Which is why it is important to be as polite as possible.

Women were polite. For years. It cost them dearly. Now go lecture the side with the baseball bats and leave women alone. Frankly, until I see you tweeting at ANYONE other than feminists instructing them to "be polite," it's obvious that your problem isn't rudeness. It's women.

I think your starting point is that this is the only issue that doesn't affect you where you feel free lecturing people.
