I am more concerned about the internal recruitment and training at @NSPCC if 150 (one hundred and fifty!) of their own staff do not understand their own risk assessments and *basic* child protection procedures.
Yes I agree, but external accountability and internal systems go together. The NSPCC should communicate clearly both to internal and external stakeholders that putting children first means putting safeguarding first

Still don’t understand why Munro was unsuitable.
I expect it was on 1) promoting the sexualisation of children as entertainment i.e. Desmond is Amazing and 2)inviting children to get in touch directly by DM. Neither is appropriate for the ambassador of a children's charity. Basic safeguarding.

So @NSPCC will you do as Maya suggests? I’ve held off cancelling my direct debit (despite being appalled at this and other recent issues with NSPCC). How you handle this will be a determining factor for me, and possibly many others I suspect. So..???
