His sex was innate. This case does not demonstrate that there is something different and seperate from the material reality that he actually was male, and that this was not changed by the abuse done to him.

David's body was not "wrong" David's genitals had been mutilated and his gonads removed. He wasnt turned into a female, because -- you know that's not possible, right?

As i said millions of years of evolution have made human beings, like all other animals that reproduce sexually, pretty damn good at sensing their own and each other's sex. It would be more of a mystery if we weren't good at this than that we are.

I don't know. How do mice sense their sex? How do beetles sense their sex? How do fish sense their sex? Its not a great mystery that sexually reproductive animals would have a hardwired instinct for this.
