I am a bit uneasy with the idea that female biology is a belief at the same level as reducing womanhood to a feeling.
It's not so much that female biology is a belief (it is a fact), as the GC belief that it is important, and not surplanted by self identity . cf: Grainger v Nicholson on climate change (it is both real and important)
Indeed. That is the distinction, but easily collapsed. Not sure climate change is the best analogy. It is more creationism versus evolution.
You can argue it is a version of creationism (where the creator is the self/self-perception) vs evolution (to which the existence of an objective male/female bio distinction is fundamental).
