I'm CIS straight male, so I recognise my ignorance. That said: gender & sex are different. Gender is behaviour, Sex is biological. Behaviour is fluid so so is gender. I don't know if 'they' is how you address the behavioural assumptions created by 'he' & 'she' but it's something.

I know. A best friend told me to delete it out of political self-preservation but I felt it was important to make a balanced case for why our current perception of gender identity/behaviour is inherently prejudicial. Recognising that is an important step towards trans acceptance.

Femi, I am sure that you are trying to be fair. But please be aware that one of the reasons for your “ignorance” is a persistent campaign waged against gender-critical feminists, many of whom, like me, are left-wing lesbian activists, to stop us getting our message across./2

Please listen to the replies from women and do a bit of research. Look at the dismissal of
@MForstater , the vicious campaign against@Docstockk and other feminist philosophers and the suspension of dozens of feminists from Twitter./31 reply 0 retweets 5 likes -

You can protect trans rights without undermining the rights of women and girls. Not by adopting self-ID, which leads logically to situations such as in British Columbia, with the Yaniv case.

Yes. Glad you are staying in & not just retreating & deleting. It's a serious issue; be brave and engage. Listen to women. Understand why we still need words and a set of categories & protections for human rights based on reality of female & male bodieshttps://theconversation.com/why-self-identification-should-not-legally-make-you-a-woman-103372 …
