Maya Forstater added,
Its fine, here. Everyone knows that @MadhulikaKhanna really means sex in the paper.... but on the other hand @PlanUK have a whole programme on how menstruation affects some school pupils, but it has thrown away both the words 'girl' and 'female' to describe the pupils it affectspic.twitter.com/N9EycNozd2
And Plan is an org that says it's *all about girls*....and yet it's promoting the idea that there is no objective reality of being female. You cannot stand up for girls while at the same time making it unsayable that female children are girls and will grow up to be womenpic.twitter.com/K3XbYhdh6b
@MForstater I'm asking Evans what they mean by good nutrition. Bc I'm making a thread and 1 thing I tweeted was that women if not for so many chemicals in food and cosmetics in our ancient past would be having their menarche at 18. Menarche is starting earlier in the last 100yrs
That's just related to regular nutrition I think.calories, protein --> body fat percentage

Bc I want to put that in my main thread, but it seems to say that if girls have better nutrition, it's worse for them to stay in school bc we know many girls don't have access to period items. Here's the threadhttps://twitter.com/ariana_erbon/status/1158794046275543040?s=19 …
Andreia Nobre added,
No it's not saying that. It's just saying that the data shows that they tend to drop out of school more. Shouldn't leap to conclusions as to why (eg social norms?protection from pregnancy? practicalities related to periods? The paper doesn't investigate cause or solution )
