      Technically, that would depend. If it, for instance, used "wears make-up => woman", that would be gender. Whereas face shape/size would be sex. But yeah, seems like in this instance it's sex. #sorry #pedantry

      I don't think the computer is using anything like that - its just been shown a bunch of pictures of men & women and then learnt something about the geometry/ pixels. Which is much more reliable than the 'wears makeup' heuristic.
