I didn't plan to lose my job over this. I'm still shocked and sad. I've been turned down for other jobs, and had articles turned away by orgs that work on 'women and development', but who won't find the courage to publish on this. I'm being investigated by the Scout Association.
But I've met so many individuals who are brave enough and angry enough to ignore the signs saying "pipe down", "don't rock the boat", "be nice", and to face up to the ones that say "TERF", "bigot", "transphobe"pic.twitter.com/wcRVOQCKjB
Because it isn't "transphobic" to recognise that everyone has a sex. It's binary. It can't be changed. It shouldn't limit your life, but in situations where sex matters, it is sex that matters. And the words & concepts 'women' 'man', 'girl' ' boy' are too important to give away

In a couple of months I am going to be in tribunal for my preliminary hearing (on the Qs of my employment status and whether having beliefs about gender identity is covered as a belief under the Equality Act).
This is why it's important: if we can demonstrate that believing, or not believing, in the primacy of self identified gender is something you shouldn't face discrimination for, that is a route towards protecting everyone's rights in a free and open society.
