I live in what is apparently a "hot-bed" of transgender people who are shedding their "sex" assignment. Seems very challenging for them, particularly those who have given up their male privilege; the misogyny that they face daily being a constant reminder/"penance" for that.

One can’t just give up their male privilege or white privilege etc

Particularly referenced male privilege, not white, noting any male who even puts on female clothes/attire automatically becomes a buffoon for other males/many females; i.e.,privilege "taken" from them/not accorded automatic respect/male-worshiped + degraded/abused like females.

They are not facing misogyny because they are not females. They might experience transphobia since they are trans. Both oppressions are incompatible:you either experience one or the other. You decided to come to this thread to exemplify what Ani was talking about.Odd,but useful.

I advise you to read this excellent piece by Maya Forstater
@MForstater : “International development: lets talk about sex” https://link.medium.com/pPPE8m7AtZ It gives sound background to this topic. So you won't be able to claim ignorance afterwards. You're welcome.1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -
Thanks! Done own reading + understand your physiological definition of female/"biology is destiny".My understanding different, not limited to persons' born-genitalia/DNA, recalling "more difference within gender than between". Respect right to hold your view, regardless "othered"

Female biology is real. We can choose to be mothers or not, because we have agency. So motherhood is not a destiny. Only right wing people think that. You're conflating arguments. Gender is a social construct. Make up and clothes are just fashion. It changes with time. Wake up.

And I certainly don't think that motherhood is destiny/ beneath you to conflate that with "biology is destiny". And also way beyond conflating with transvestism/fashion/ other temporal matters. In any event, "thanks" for your patronizing, "othering", and exhorting me to awaken...

Here, transitioning to single washrooms, accommodations for women w/PTSD traumatized by men/hormone levels to ensure female participation in sport, etc., rather than project our interpretations of what motivates a sex change. Sensitivity/ amelioration/ conciliation beats conflict

I think understand your haiku! Sensitivity, amelioration, conciliation is all good but not by giving up womens rights. Discussion had to start with reality that human beings can't actually change sex.

Replying to @MForstater @VELehman and
Women do not have to give up single sex spaces and women's sports for society to accept feminine presenting males.
