      1) Whoops. Looks like @AaronWala the editor of @rights_info and occasional writer for the @guardian missed out some pretty crucial information about why @MOJ needed to update its trans prison policy. How embarrassing for a professional journalist....pic.twitter.com/2SwpGfXYul

      2) This is the article he wrote after listening to a talk by lawyer Michelle Brewer from @gardencourtlaw chambers and co-founder of the Trans Equality Legal Initiative @UKTELI.https://rightsinfo.org/transgender-prisoners-regressive-policy/ …

      3) How embarrassing for him not to mention that the prison review was triggered because a male-trans prisoner called Karen White was put straight into a women's prison when on remand and sexually assaulted two women prisoners.

      4) Michelle Brewer was quoted as saying "anti-trans campaigners.... attaches that risk to their trans identity.” What rubbish. Everyone knows the risk posed to women is because Karen is male with a history of sexual violence against women....

      5) Brewer also false stated that the new policy says the strength and function of a prisoners genitals can be assessed. No it doesn't. But @AaronWala didn't bother to check the accuracy of such a wild and extraordinary claim and then had to add that correction in 2 days later.pic.twitter.com/rSHMLf0PhU

      6) What's not made clear in this article is that the @MOJ have made some common sense steps towards making sure its trans policy balances the risk for EVERYONE in prison. Something it should have done from the start with disastrous consequences.pic.twitter.com/CP0D3CipCT

      7) Top Tip @AaronWala. Next time you write on trans issues give us a call and we can help you with a more balanced and informative article. It will save you having to make those embarrassing edits when you get spotted and pulled up for bad journalism.

Poor journalism for not checking the facts, but I have to wonder why a barrister was misinforming their audience?
