Far from kitchen foil: a multil layer gold coloured thermal control blanket of aluminised Kapton and Mylar film with an aluminium or Inconel/Nickel outer layer. Cheap it is not!
Emergency measures on my skylights...it's a bit studenty...but hey the lunar lander was covered in kitchen foil
