So you won't be supporting the legal case that argues 'gender critical' views should be protected in law?
Brill. I look forward to reading your piece explaining why @MForstater is wrong to be doing just that.
(Unless, of course, it's only trans women's views you disagree w).

IANAL but I’m fairly sure people are also protected in (UK) law under the characteristics of gender reassignment.
-
Yes there are 9 protected characteristics: age, sex, race disability, belief etc and gender reassignment. Gender reassignment does not mean a person's sex has changed. People should not be discriminated either because of belief or gender reassignment or sex.

Your response bares no relevance to what was said by Becca. Stock argued that legislation shouldn't protect "feelings" ... well then in that case legislation shouldn't protect your feelings either!

The Equality Act exists to protect people against discrimination. You know.... people should be treated deritimentally because of their sex, race, religion, disability, or because they are trans? That. It's about people being treated fairly.

the difference of course being is 'so-called gender critical' bigotry, has no scientific or clinical basis, and the evidence base around affirming care for trans people has extensive clinical evidence base and basic sciences backing, despite efforts otherwise

But to be protected someone's belief must be compatible with the rights of others ... a gender critical "belief" (which isn't a belief really it's an opinion) is incompatible with the rights of those protected by "gender reassignment".

White supremacy is also a belief. Are you saying that needs to be protected under anti-discrimination law?

Nope that's not how belief or lack works, but as I say, I'm really looking forward to seeing the arguments that will need to be made on your part, at least it will give some substance to the debate. (Obvs if you can establish EqA applies at all if there was no employment).
