As I understand you believe that being a man or a woman (or both or neither?) is a fact that each person knows about themself but which has no describable or objectively verifiable criteria? It is nothing to do with bodies, or upbringing or gender stereotypes? Is that right?

i think whether one is a man or a woman is a lot more complex than being raised a certain way or adhering to stereotypes. i also dont think its adequately summed up by high-school level biology.

I don't think it's those 2 things either. We agree on that. I think it is a matter of sex. You think it's nothing to do with sex, but is something else. Indescribable, knowable only to the individual? Is that right?

ive never said i think its nothing to do with sex sex is important the conclusions you're drawing via a basic ass view of it? not important. down right false and should be ignored.

No I'm just trying to understand your belief. It's important to people who hold the belief therefore it's important. What is it that you believe makes someone a man or a woman?

i dont think there is any one thing that makes someone a man or a woman there is no essential quality that cant be easily disproven, you're welcome to try.

So it is something that individuals know about themselves at a fundamental level. It is indescribable & has no specific characteristics, is that right? Am I describing it correctly? (Also do you think some ppl are neither man nor woman, and some fluctuate between the two states?)

i think your problem is trying to have a grand unified theory of womanhood but like thats not how any of this works? women are different from each other in a whole plethora of different ways?

That's fine. But nonetheless the word and concept must mean something in order to be important. Am I describing it correctly in your view or is there something I'm misstating or something I'm missing out?

it does mean something, its just that something isnt the exact same thing for every woman a woman who doesnt menstruate and has never menstruated might not feel like menstruation is intrinsic to her womanhood, whereas awoman who does menstraute might disagree.

So internally knowable, indescribable, no specific physical characteristics, not related to gender stereotypes ? Innate? Immutable ? Or are these descriptors too universal? For some people it's some of these things and for some it's not?
