I suspect this is in part because Pride has become so corporate and de-politicised that anything political is seen as a disturbance now.
When 2 women were beaten by teenagers for being female homosexuals we were appalled. Some people don’t want to accept that sexuality is not gender based and that homosexual women, by definition, are only attracted to their own sex. I must be the only one who really doesn’t see a problem with this.
