What's terrifying is that people who are actively campaigning and working towards taking away the rights of other people are: Smiling and happy about it? And proud of it? And so absorbed by their own agenda they think they're actually doing something good? That's pretty scary.
To name a few areas: harassment and stigma, anti-trans violence, barriers to healthcare, identity documents.
Thats not what gender critical women are saying Ethan. I am not (and have not heard) anyone call for trans people to lose human rights protection from harassment or violence, or to miss out on healthcare. Key issue is single sex spaces & services. https://forwomen.scot/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Rosa-Freedman-FWS.pdf …pic.twitter.com/YfaWaF6aRT
GC women may not be saying these things outright, but they are very well aware of the implications of their words and actions, as I'm sure that you are too. It's purely transphobia and you know it.
Sorry no. You don't get to disregard what people say and, ascribe to them something else you imagine they are thinking and you are "sure they are aware of"
So how about the trans voices that many GC women disregard? And the assumption of many GC women that trans women are predators and that their mere existence is a threat to their rights? *You* don't get to try and tell me people aren't aware of what they are doing and saying.
No. The argument is for single sex spaces i.e womens spaces which do not include males. transwomen are males and therefore should not be in female only spaces, services or sports. Not all males are predators.
Nobody's "mere existence" is a threat to anyone's rights. How would that work? People exist. They all have human rights.
