I think @rights_info 's coverage of the question of how proposals for gender self ID will impact on women's rights has been woefully inadequate and skewed. When I raised this with founder and chair @AdamWagner1 he told me to make an official complaint

Rights Info replied "The Collins dictionary definition of ”highly charged” is “a situation [which] is extremely tense and emotional, and likely to make people have very strong reactions”. Many protests fit within this definition and this particular protest grew to 100 people.

"In this regard, the description by our journalist using the adjective “highly charged” was a reasonable description based on their experience of the protest"

They also defended reporting that “the conversations around the GRA consultation had gone too far” using language like “an outpouring of hatred” “blinded by the anger surrounding the GRA debate” ,“hysterical and heightened”

Here are some thing they haven't reported on: What happens when women have tried to meet to talk about the issue: graffiti and bomb threatspic.twitter.com/4qtHnaCIzk

And physical attacks. This is what Rights Info has had to say about all of this: "the assault of a radical feminist at a rally in London’s Hyde Park" ... that's it. 13 words. No protagonist. No adjectivespic.twitter.com/9Q31tlE788

Here is what Rights Info have had to say about women losing their jobs, and academics being silenced, and women being kicked off social media for wanting to talk clearly about sex and gender.pic.twitter.com/bw3vl7KNaC

Here is how Rights Info have responded to gender critical legal experts offering to provide analysis of their concerns. https://twitter.com/RadFemLawyer/status/1119243812260466689 …pic.twitter.com/HWydMMiJ5j

And this is how they have responded to women asking them to at least state that sex"is a protected characteristic in law instead of inaccurately replacing it with "gender" https://twitter.com/2010Equality/status/1098254604582699008 …pic.twitter.com/0OfKvsxWh6

In response to my complaint they say "RightsInfo is a small news organisation with limited resources, and is not able to cover all stories, with the editorial team taking decisions on a day-to-day basis"

So what they are saying is there has been no systematic decision not to cover this stuff.... it was just something that slipped through the cracks

This response came from the "Rights Info team". But Rights info is a charity. Its objects are to promote human rights (which include women's rights based on sex). This is the responsibility of the board. The complaints process was a dead end
