I’m not remotely misogynistic, but attacking trans women and denying them their identity isn’t ok, whatever your gender. There’s room in this world for everyone and we don’t defend our rights and identities by attacking or belittling those of others.

Sex is biological and gender is social is how I’ve always understood it. If we can all agree to allow people their dignity and respect the way they feel that would be a simpler starting point.

They were standing on the steps saying things like "lesbians are same sex attracted", "lesbians don't have penises", "we are pro-women, not anti-trans". To which the response was "fuck off TERFs you are not welcome here".

Being female is a material reality. It is not the same thing as "gender identity". Sexuality relates to sex. Some people are heterosexual some people are homosexual. You called it an 'attack' for lesbians to he clear that their sexuality doesn't include males. ...

Who is claiming that their sexuality should include males? I don’t see trans men as an insistence I should also be attracted to women. Gender identity is distinct from our anatomy, hence we have trans men and women.
