Wow, Jo. That's a pretty rude dismissal. Just because you're not informed about something (and yet inclined to offer 'huge respect') doesn't mean other people aren't either. Where's your huge respect for women like Helen Joyce for all the work they do in a difficult space?

Hi Jo & Dan. I have a very poor opinion of Mermaids, based on evidence that is largely in the public domain. Other people can of course come to different conclusions, especially on a cursory reading. I hope Jo will look further into it - & thanks for kind words Jo! I’m a big fan.

We certainly agree that their governance looks poor. I do want there to be a specialist charity helping children sensitively address questions they have about their gender. I do feel like I should know more about their CE but it's not easy finding disinterested information.
