In general the value added by subsidiaries of foreign multinationals is less than you might imagine, and per country is a part of GDP. Facebook makes $13 profit per active user per year (on average), so might pay $2-3 in CIT per user somewhere.

There is no reason to think that Facebook makes more profit from selling ads to users in poorer countries (and logical reason to think they might earn less) ... and all that is before we get into the questions about 'where value is created' etc...

I think obviously it would be different if there was another business model that put costs/charges onto users, eg subscription, like mobile phones.
