Perhaps you could share your take on gender reassignment discrimination? What’s the comparator if a trans woman says she’s been discriminated against on the basis of this characteristic? We know that for sex discrimination it’s men v women. How does this one work? @RadFemLawyer

I don't know the answer to that sorry, it's not something I have thought through yet. Do you have a suggestion?

We have asked you more than a month ago to consider this debate. And you have been ignoring us. So I do not think you have not thought it through. You are refusing to think it through. Because you know the starting position, that a penis is female if a male says so, is absurd.

Hi Alessandra. I don’t want to minimise the seriousness of the issue, or your experiences. Il trying to figure out what the answer is, and the best way I have of doing that is to see what the law is, and says, the effect it has.

You have every right to be annoyed with me, if you feel I’m fence sitting, or misunderstanding the issue, or failing to empathise. If you want me to come out strongly on one ‘side’ then I’m afraid you are going to continue to be annoyed, and disappointed.

Adam - you chair the Board of an organisation who's CEO endorses (and presumably holds) the view that 'Gender Critical' is a synonym for 'transphobe' and that 'TERF' is an acceptable way to describe those with gender critical views. https://www.change.org/p/greater-manchester-police-gmp-liam-did-nothing-wrong-do-not-discipline-him …pic.twitter.com/zVXI7bF5nu

Maya Forstater Retweeted Equality Act 2010
The organisation that you are responsible does not respond when people raise this issue https://twitter.com/2010Equality/status/1098514076194521088 …. It did not commission any gender critical expert views either during or since the GRA consultation, and has argued that these are not 'voices that matter'

This seems like a question for the board. Does the board stand by management's decision to no platform gender critical expert views? Telling people to take it up with a CEO who says its ok to call women who disagree with his position by an abusive slur is wholly inadequate.

Quite. The sex-based rights and protections of women are under unprecedented threat. Being neutral is not an option.

Principled neutrality by an org I think can be a decent position: i.e. holding open the space for debate. This is what Mumsnet has done. Just imagine how this debate would have been different if other orgs had had the integrity & courage to do this...

...instead of posing as neutral, reasonable and balanced while painting women with gender critical views as unspeakable bigots who should be shunned and attacked. This is the worst betrayal.

Really Maya? Mumsnet is a TERF (still not a slur
) version of gab. Clearly you endorse their vile rhetoric regarding trans women.
Trans women are women.1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -

Mumsnet allows discussion of women’s issues. It itself takes a neutral stance. It is place for women to share, discuss, organise and support. That is so why so many men want them all silenced.
