The @guardian should be ashamed of allowing that sentence into a published piece. Identity politics is too frequently an excuse for blatant misogyny and too often supported by those who wouldn't tolerate it from any other source.
This is why calling yourself a cis-woman or a cis-man is accepting and promoting sexism. Women generally speak w higher pitch.
