Agreed. Not to mention the insulting ‘v’ sign which to people in the UK is is bad as the third finger. So it’s offensive and aggressive and threatening. But it’s spread by men against women - so it’s ok.

It certainly does matter. In this case the context actually makes it worse as it can be seen as part of wider breaches.

The social media companies may well end up walking themselves off a cliff. Or more likely they'll retain only an ever smaller Leftist audience, as remaining users' confected grievance list grows ever madder.
