I backed the funding campaign to support people's right to express their views about gender self-ID. I don't have set views on the issue, + don't know the details of the case. maya, the words you use to describe people question their fundamental human rights. this is not encouraging conversation. sure, there is room for debate around the topic of gender vs. sex. one-sided discussions like the ones you have presented and promoted remain unproductive.

Thanks, Maya. After your feedback, I did some reflecting and more importantly, research, on the use of the term TERF and I respectfully disagree. Words that we commonly use (like even "feminist" - a term I use proudly!) can be used in a derogatory way.

Unlike 'Feminist' TERF is *generally* intended as an insult (with or without the violent threats) and a means to tell others to ignore and avoid. As you used it "Engaging with - *these people* - is fruitless" so yeah, in the spirit of respectful dialogue
