If you are wondering why so many, mainly left wing progressive, feminist women are standing up and challenging what seems like inclusivity. It is not to be mean. Its not to make people feel bad (& many will use whatever pronouns in a social setting that make ppl comfortable)
Its about the ability to describe what is going on, and the power involved. And what is going on Twitter is that women are being silenced, threatened and abused for speaking out about male violence & about the mental health of vulnerable young people.

In this age of more and more social constructivists occupying positions in businesses, media, and government, it’s going to become increasingly important to not assume people agree on definitions of previously well understood words, or even if certain categories, like sex, exist.
I thought it was an excellent point she made about the training given to the safety team on twitters protected categories if they include gender but not sex. How can you name misogyny if you don't understand how it works against women. It's a destructive force, it needs to stop
