No I am saying most men & women if they wear "gender neutral" clothing that is neither coded male or female and they do nothing in terms of adopting a hairstyle, makeup, or other external cues are still correctly read as their sex

Wearing clothes that fit for most women means outing themselves as
. Also walking, talking are big giveaways. To call these things "gender expression" rather than just existing while female is strange I think, and loses the insight about what IS performing femininity

There's also context in the eyes of the beholder. My orthodox Jewish 9 year old neighbour once asked me,aged 38 at the time, if my dad would let me come round to his house to play. He assumed a small woman in trousers with long hair was another boy.
