This is about IFIs specifically, not so much banks & companies. IFIs were previously granted a kind of diplomatic immunity against prosecution in the US. Parent companies can already be held liable for the acts of foreign subsidiaries in their home jurisdiction in some situations
That doesn’t depart from my tweet. I was making a general claim about the need for accountability, by way of background. Then introducing the niche ruling. Two separate claims.
