Friends. I have been reading, listening and talking to people on different sides of the sex and gender debates for over a year before I felt confident enough to publicly to state an opinion.https://medium.com/@MForstater/international-development-lets-talk-about-sex-eb9de927c787 …

So let me ask you to clarify. Are you saying that I, legally a woman (GRS and all), should be excluded from all women's spaces because I am some sort of a 'threat' to women, because I am 'really' a man?

I think what she is clearly saying is that we need to be able to talk about this without fear of being slurred, and consider that it isn't inherently "transphobic" to discuss the idea (or even hold the opinion) that sex-specific spaces should be retained in some situations.

What is there to talk about? I cannot use a women's toilet? I cannot go into a women's clothing shop? I cannot go to my local lingrerie shop to buy a bra? I go out with my friends..see a movie and at the end I 'have' to use the men's toilet? So what 'debate' are we having here?

Step back and look at your responses. I, me not we and us. This is personal to all but step on the other side of the aisle. That is what discussion is about. Seeing it from another viewpoint. There is much to discuss.

What you advocate affects me personally. Forget all the 'hand waving' about 'groups'. This is my daily life you are discussing. But I think we can all conclude that it has nothing to do with 'self ID', it is actually about my very existence as a part of society.

To use that existence part is over the top. It tries to provoke an emotional response. No one has even hinted about your right to exist. Everyone has that right. But we also have the right to discuss topics. If you cannot see the other side of the argument all is lost

When the 'debate' is over my very existence in society...and where I should be banned from (everywhere it seems) ...then this is the same as a 'debate' between a Jew and a SS officer. And as pointless.

No the debate is not over your existence. Clearly you exist and should continue to. The debate is over whether and in what circumstances male people should be able to access spaces where females expect privacy, and be able to compete in women's sports etc.

My existence is as a woman. I am legally one BTW. Some want to ban me from all women's spaces... that eliminates me from society. Not sure how being banned from women's clothing shops helps women's rights and safety...but here we are.

There are many male people who feel their existence is "as a woman" who have not had SRS or taken hormones etc who would like to have access to female changing rooms, dorms, prisons, refuges etc... Saying 'no' is not eliminating people from society.
