In any case, it was only pushed as a way of avoiding legalising gay marriage. Now that we have it, with attendant pension/mortgage etc rights, we have no need for the GRA legal fiction
There was also the reason given that a TS should not have to 'out' themselves any time they show their birth certificate eg to the bank. That could be solved I think by allowing anyone to get a copy of theirs with sex redacted

Well that's another thing! But if the reason for the GRC process was about showing birth certificate, then that can be solved simply.

If allies all did it as well then it would become a social norm. People could show birth certificate with sex marked only in situations where sex is relevant

Its a shame being ‘outed’ is perceived as bad. Maybe we should be focussing in the stigma so people aren’t trying to hide it
