Yes - both on tax and on this. "your tone is wrong" often means "please shut up" I'm sure I get tone wrong often and I try to improve, but I won't shut up.

I don't begrudge the tone of righteous indignation that many adopt, as I find my own often caustic tenor reflected in it. It's not the tone of others that bothers me but my own. I don't like the person I myself become as a result.
