It shouldn't be out of bounds -- Scottish Committee was v.good on relationship between census data & Eq Act protected characteristics showed that ppl can talk about this clearly (compared to debate in Westminster which went into seeing peoples souls!)
Interesting - thanks. There's also the issue of comparability across the three UK censuses, given that in England and Wales (and I presume NI), the sex and gender questions will be separate.
