No. The Equality Act (Schedule 3, part 7 ) allows and requires service providers to take into account that people can say no to having physical contact with a member of the opposite sex. It does not require (or allow them) to do this on the basis of religion or ethnicity.pic.twitter.com/DCX7ZnjeIc

Schedule 3 part 7 refer specifically to single sex services and require the request to be reasonable. If there are no available women nurses, then a male nurse would be able to do the job they are trained for. Besides most nhs hospitals are not single sex services.
