If Bunce feels in whole or in part a woman, then he would count as one. But I feel like one could make reasoned arguments either way, and that's ok. Seems to me the point of the pledge is to be effective in the 99% of cases where there is not room for reasoned argument.

This is Q at one end of a spectrum, when poss general rules break down in what might be called singularities. What of people with no binary gender? Or self identifying as female, transgender or undertaking treatment? From info you provide doubt cross dressing by itself qualifies.

Personally I think it is straightforward. Women are adult human females. It is not about gender identity, or gender expression or medical treatment. I dont know what the 'feeling of being a woman' is. If 'woman' is defined as someone who has this feeling I don't fit the criteria!

without having given it much thought, I'd probably take the opposing view. My reasoning would be that any position one might take on this issue can be objected to from some quarter, and I'd rather err on side of trans women=women in context where e.g. safety not an issue.
