      Those who push tax avoidance schemes should be viewed just the same as drug http://pushers.it  isn’t just the big firms who do this.

      I think @Sandino500 is right though, do reflect, consolidate principles agreed at board level. Which is some lever for accountability and public engagement.

      I have heard of boards rejecting specific proposals for structuring transactions for a tax advantage saying "we can't do *that* because it's against our tax principles"

          Most large UK plcs now have a tax culture that stop anything aggressive well before it gets to board level, but the published strategy isn't (in my experience) really part of that.

          The basic policy behind the introduction of requirement to publish was flawed: 1. We have found that companies who publish their strategy are less aggressive 2. Let’s make all companies publish their strategy. #CorrelationIsNotCausation
