      I’ve been through Hansard and, whilst numerous figures were mentioned, none were estimates of revenue yields from OT BO disclosure....

      That’s unsurprising given the difficulty of making such an estimate, given it depends (amongst other things) on the % of non-CRS assets and the % of BO evaders who stay put...

      For what it’s worth, I think BO disclosure is the right thing to do, although I’m uncomfortable with forcing it on the OTs. It would be better, and fairer, if this was a universal standard...

      However that cause is positively hindered by claiming benefits for BO disclosure which will almost certainly not arise. I hope Alex and Nick would agree the £10bn figure is both wrong and unhelpful.

      Seems high, but I haven't investigated recently so I don't know. Full BO disclosure would deliver a lot more than current piecemeal proposals. (And that awful word 'unhelpful'. Unhelpful for whom?)
