Ah oh I know what you mean. Yes that is what the independent analyses show in fact range goes up to 15. You'll notice Phil Hammond didn't question the fig.

I think some different figures must have been jumbled together - I don’t think there are any estimates for the UK tax yield from the OTs introducing beneficial ownership disclosure rules.

If you are really interested I set out the full exposition in committee in the

Can't see a direct reference on 6/3 to £10bn and Registers. There's a ref to the UNCTAD "estimates that the overall loss to developing countries is some £100 billion a year". Has anyone else seen other figures that link Registers to preventing losses? https://hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2018-03-06/debates/1f7704cb-b922-49d5-a0b3-0f067375b0a6/SanctionsAndAnti-MoneyLaunderingBill(Lords)(FifthSitting) …

Helen the UNCTAD figure of £100 bn relates to corporate profit shifting (which is unlikely to be much effected by public registers of beneficial ownership since doesnt rely on secrecy) and mainly doesn't relate to aid recipient countries (i.e. 'those countries' are not the same)pic.twitter.com/mTjYx8fUtz

If you look at the numbers which relate to countries that receive significant aid, the estimates that relate to revenue losses due to corporate profit shifting are just much, much smallerpic.twitter.com/4yoEXt656o
