Very interesting. While it had far less serious consequences, “ends justifies the means” was the only real answer I ever got as to why some transfer mispricing tax loss estimates were defended long after the underlying research was shot to pieces.
Yes I agree. I think there are parallels/ its part of the same dynamic. Organisations driven by their own survival/growth imperatives

I keep reading stats from people like
@DinaPomeranz that show huge gains for poor people all over the world. Yet I hardly ever see that referenced in wider campaigning activity. And I have definitely seen the ends v means argument. I fear both of these things hamper NGOs. -
