    The attended the inauguration of Maine's 75th and first female Governor Janet T. Mills at the Augusta Civic Center last night. We look forward to helping Governor Mill's and her administration accomplish her goals for Maine's Veterans.

    Dr. Gladys West (age 87) was inducted into the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Pioneers Hall of Fame. She was one of many "Hidden Figures" who did computations for the U.S. Military in the era before electronic systems. See for more information.

    Richard Overton, the oldest American World War II veteran passed away yesterday in Austin, Texas. He served with the 1887th Engineer Aviation Battalion in Hawaii, Guam, Palau, Okinawa and Iwo Jima during the war.

    We may have snow on the ground here in Maine, but the project at VA Maine Healthcare System is progressing nicely. The foundation is in, dirt work in progress, and lumber is onsite. United Rentals equipment is helping get the job done.
