Why? Is it a law now to stand & clap at your door on a Thursday at 8 to show your appreciation?

-
Whilst still voting these vultures in... how typical brexitannia.

Thousands don’t clap that’s ridiculous! As some people now think it’s over the top and getting silly and dangerous
-
I agree, it is getting dangerous. Our street seems to use it as an excuse to get together. Last night there were groups of people chatting with no distance between them for the best part of an hour with their kids running round as if it was some kind of street party.

More than half the people on my street don't clap on Thursday. It's not a legal requirement.

I already clapped metaphorically ever time I voted against Tories

How ridiculous! It's not compulsory. People need to mind their own business. The only people that have shamed their street (whatever that means
) are the ones that tried to shame this poor tired Mom -
Mumsnet is a dreadful organisation. They quickly put the boot into me and my Manchester Town Hall tours when I was set up on the tour a few years ago. And of course like the Salem witch trials everyone put the boot in without knowing the facts, including the lovely Hayley Flynn.
