    i think a lot of people who get mad at gerrymandering (which is a very real problem) don't realize that what they're actually mad at is first-past-the-post. which sucks, and gets a fraction of the attention

    2 things happened in 2018. Democrats won big in the House popular vote and that vote was the highest in over 100 years. As a result, measured by House winner as the % of total votes cast by the eligible population, 2018 Democrats won the biggest midterm victory since 1922.

    It's Republicans who are accused of voter fraud here in NC-9—possibly even widespread enough to have swung a House race or at least muddy it. Can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot and it was Democrats accused instead? Would be all that Trump was talking about.
