I love YouTube and when the notification system was first introduced I was told it was a chance for subs to see "every video you upload" I supported or then. But why break this system too? Why let it be only a "if we think the video is good enough" system as well?

Just to clarify, if someone taps the bell > all notifications, then they do get a notification for every video upload! It's only the "occasional" notification setting that sends just some. Also, no matter your notification settings, all new uploads still show in the subs feed!

Why would anyone want only occasional notifications? Did you do focus groups to discover people wanted this feature or any quantitative research?

So are you saying you want the system to automatically notify you every time they upload? I subscribe to over 200 active channels, I highly disagree with you

I agree with you Nvader. I'm subscribed to over 800 channels (most of them active) and I just go to the sub box and check if there is any video in which I'm interested. If I had notifications on for every channel I would get ~5-10 notifications per hour.
