Literally the system that would fix this is used everywhere. Just 2fa. When you submit a copyright claim you should have to confirm it by email or text. Would decrease so much claim botting!

Youtube having to manually review each claim would reduce it further. This shouldn't be something a bot can do, ever.

That works for this situation but what if there are hundreds of people uploading the same copyrighted material such as a new song by a famous artist or a clip from a new movie or TV show. No doubt there are issues but manual review isn't going to work.

Well I was going to suggest that proof should be submitted in the form of digital copy such as an mp3 or mp4. Then, all re-uploads can be bot matched to that. This way, there's record of the claim, the evidence and sample, which can be reused. Just seems more concrete.

It does still need to be mostly autonomous unfortunately due to the sheer size of YouTube. Where ever we go with these system we do still need it to benifit both youtubers and companies. Keep everyone happy.

For sure. The way this looks tho, a bot can just mass claim any channel without prejudice. Claiming needs to be more official than this.

Doing some research and actually making my own bot as a proof of concept right now...theu literally have an api that directly connects to the report system .-.

Yeah my only thought as to why YouTube hasn't already gone this route is to appease larger companies that do this sort of claiming.
