When I tell Christians I used to be a Christian, it's nearly always prompted with trying to reconvert me or trying to find problems in how my life was. Athiests don't get this same treatment so I may just start with saying I don't believe now to avoid that conversation
Its strange. Because they don't try to instantly convert athiests who never were Christians as much. When actually it would be much easier to try and convert athiests. Conversion takes a lot of persuading, so people who used to be in your religion will be most resistant to it
