Haha, common mistranslation. 加油 should be the same in simplified. It's often translated as "good luck", but "break a leg" or "ganbatte" would be more accurate!

Ah thank you very much! From now on it's harder because I've gone home from Uni and won't be able to see my teachers in person, but will still keep it up!
