For bloggers who obviously have a WP account and sometimes comment but never like other people's posts. Is it because you forget or do you want to make it clear that you did not like the post?

I guess for me it's the 'treat people how you want to be treated' mentality. I appreciate likes, but since they don't offer any proof that the person actually read your work, they feel more dutiful and obligatory. Comments are personal, and show that someone's worth your time..
I initially just liked this before realizing that the very same like I just gave went against the main point of the comment in the first place! I agree, comments are far more personal, and hopefully I've proved that here!
