Thomas St Redefined has been a community identified trail priority in 11 different plans over 20 years. It's also literally the only remaining East-West all-ages-and-abilities connection in SLU planned in the Bicycle Master Plan (Valley St was not built as a protected bike lane).

To facilitate superyachts, the US Coast Guard has determined fixed bridges crossing Seattle’s Ship Canal (from Ballard to Fremont) must have at least 205 feet of vertical clearance, which is 70 feet taller than the Aurora Bridge. That's a big deal.
