Among the many scientific highlights achieved thanks to Arecibo, are the discovery of the periodicity Crab pulsar or the discovery of the first binary pulsar, for which the researchers Hulse and Taylor won the 1993 Nobel Prize in Physics. (4/6)
MAGIC collaborated with Arecibo in the past. Together, we set constraints on the properties of Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) in our #researchpaper “Constraining very-high-energy and optical emission from FRB 121102 with the MAGIC telescopes”. https://arxiv.org/pdf/1809.00663.pdf … (5/6)
We are so glad to have contributed to the science made by this giant of astronomy. (6/6)
